According to authorities, Aragon got into an argument with the victim over an alleged debt back on April 8 near the suspectā€™s home in the 3500 block of Northwest 14th Terrace in the cityā€™s Grapeland Heights neighborhood.

Police said Aragon stabbed the victim several times with a large knife, with injuries sustained to the victimā€™s face, hand and torso.

The victim was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospitalā€™s Ryder Trauma Center after briefly speaking with police, according to an arrest form.

It wasnā€™t until over a month later, on May 15, that the victim was able to go to the police station and give a sworn statement.

After his arrest, Aragon told police the victim is who took out the knife, and that the stabbing occurred after he took the weapon from the victim, per the report.

Aragon was then taken to jail without incident.
