Crime Stoppers identifies 39 homicide victims this year, including 6 during 1st week of June

MIAMI – As of Saturday afternoon, Crime Stoppers had used social media to identify 39 homicide victims so far this year in Miami-Dade County.

The crime prevention program identified six homicide victims in January, nine victims in February, six in March, eight in April, five in May, and six during the first week of June.

On Wednesday night, within the same hour, three men were killed. Crime Stoppers identified them on Saturday.

James Nicholas Mulkey died after a shooting at about 11:05 p.m., in northwestern Miami-Dade. His body was on York Street, between Northwest 26 and 24 avenues, in Opa-locka.

At about 11:30 p.m., in southwestern Miami-Dade, Kenneth Eugene Riley and Jeremy Darnell Peterson were dead in a silver Mercedes-Benz that crashed into a utility pole at Quail Roost Drive and Southwest 113 Avenue, after a shooting, in South Miami Heights.

Also in Opa-locka, Keon Bernard Smith was shot dead on Monday in the area of Northwest 28 Avenue and 132 Street.

Two were killed on the first day of June: Shakeria Denise Williams at about 11 p.m., near Northwest 65 Street and 20 Avenue. She was 18. Edward Bernard Bailey at about 12:35 p.m., at the Sunflex gas station at Northwest 79 Street and 17 Avenue.

MAY

  1. Sujeiry Altagracia Brito died on May 28 at an apartment near Northeast Fourth Court and 82 Street in Miami’s Upper East Side neighborhood. Her killer fled. She was 41.
  2. Junisha Niclasse died on May 17 in northeastern Miami-Dade. The shooting started in the area of Northeast 159 Street and 18 Avenue and the 20-year-old woman was killed at the Marathon Gas Station, at 2201 NE 163 St., in North Miami Beach.
  3. Brad-My Corps Berard died on May 16 in northwestern Miami-Dade. The murder was near Northwest Second Avenue and 68 Street in Miami’s Little River.
  4. Tommie Lamore Johnson died on May 14 in southwestern Miami-Dade. He was killed near the area of Southwest 115 Avenue and 220 Street.
  5. DaMarco Harris was killed on May 9 near North Miami Avenue in Miami’s Midtown neighborhood. He was 24.

APRIL

  1. Rajeah Junior Wilson on April 29 at Northwest Eighth Avenue and 70 Street
  2. Eduardo Sanchez on April 20 at Northwest Third Avenue and Eighth Street
  3. Antwan Lavon Ingraham on April 18 at Southwest 113 Avenue and 216 Street
  4. Junior A. Meraz Martinez on April 14 at Northwest 32 Avenue and 35 Street
  5. Kelvin Stanley Daye, Jr., on April 12 at Southwest 100 Avenue and West Indigo Street
  6. German De La Cruz on April 10 at Northwest 35 Avenue and 50 Street;
  7. Rev. Antwan Dwayne Lenoir on April 6 at the Westview Baptist Church, 13301 NW 24 Ave.
  8. Ariel Garcia on April 5 at Southwest 129 Avenue and 232 Street, in Homestead.

MARCH

  1. Malik Michael Myrie was found dead on March 31 in the area of Northwest Second Avenue and Northwest 199 Street in Miami Gardens
  2. Rickervens Romondt was found dead on March 27 in a canal in the area of Northeast 120 Street and Griffing Boulevard in Biscayne Park.
  3. Tahj Hepburn was found dead on March 19 on Northwest 167 Street and 19 Avenue in Miami Gardens.
  4. Jharise Jamell Jones-Sullivan died after he was injured on March 9 in the area of Northwest 51 Terrace and 26 Avenue
  5. Mackenson Paul, Jr., and Rasaad Sawyer were killed on March 5 in the area of Northwest 10 Avenue and 55 Terrace in Model City.
  6. Martavis Cannon was killed on March 1 in the area of Busway and Southwest 328 Street in Florida City

FEBRUARY

  1. Deaundra Dwight Broadhurst was killed on Feb. 29, in the area of Northwest 12 Street and Seventh Avenue in Florida City
  2. Patrick Zamor was killed on Feb. 28, at the Presi Stop 24 Hour Shop, at 9203 NW 22 Ave. Detectives arrested Myron Hawkins for the murder.
  3. Joshua Hassoni Louis was killed on Feb. 24, in the area of Northwest 81 Street and Ninth Avenue.
  4. Jade Rivera was dead on Feb. 16 in the area of 14381 Memorial Highway in Miami.
  5. Oscar Aneudy Suarez was killed on Feb. 14 in the area of Northwest 192 Street and 79 Avenue.
  6. Alex Ozuna was killed on Feb. 7, in the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 210 Street in Miami Gardens.
  7. A hit-and-run driver killed Anthony Darryl Manning on Feb. 6 in the area of Northwest 54 Street and 22 Avenue.
  8. Lenartray Minor was killed on Feb. 4 in the area of Northwest 98 Street and Eighth Avenue.

JANUARY

  1. Edward Roberts was killed on Jan. 20 in the area of Southwest 222 Street and 114 Court.
  2. Daleon Brown, Jr., was killed on Jan. 19, in the area of Southwest 104 Avenue and 177 Street.
  3. George Jeron Harris, Jr. was killed on Jan. 13 in the area of Northwest 38 Avenue and 207 Street in Miami Gardens.
  4. Reynaldo Romanez was killed on Jan. 13 in the area of Northwest 17 Avenue and 207 Street in Miami Gardens.
  5. Kingston Satune, Jr. was killed on Jan. 10 in the area of Northeast 199 Street and Northeast First Avenue.
  6. Dylan Isaacs was killed on Jan. 7 in the area of Northwest 194 Street and 27 Avenue in Miami Gardens.
