Rodriguez, 72, and Ramirez, 39, allegedly got away with their heist so many times that it gave investigators with DCFCU time to figure out that every account holder who had been a victim had IDs stolen during car break-ins.
A teller outsmarted them and prompted a silent alarm on Thursday. Police officers arrested Rodriguez, also known as Eva Rodrigueznunez or Eva Rodriguez Núñez, and Ramirez at the DCFCU branch at 20295 S Dixie Highway, in Cutler Bay.
Miami-Dade County inmate records show correctional officers booked both women on Thursday night, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral.
Rodriguez faced nine felonies and a misdemeanor. The charges were organized scheme to defraud, five counts of identification use without consent, three counts of grand theft, and petit theft.
Ramirez, who has a criminal record that includes armed robbery in 2013 and grand theft in 2008, faced four felonies and a misdemeanor. The charges were organized scheme to defraud, petit theft, and three counts of grand theft.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Ellen Sue Venzer was set to preside over the cases.
