Video shows Miami-Dade firefighters battle blaze at Cutler Bay home

CUTLER BAY, Fla. – Firefighters extinguished a heavy blaze that erupted inside a Cutler Bay home Friday morning, authorities confirmed.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said 11 of their units responded to a First-Alarm house fire in the 19200 Block of Southwest 92nd Road just before 8:30 a.m.

Local 10 News obtained video from MDFR that showed firefighters battling the heavy smoke and fire as it billowed out from the roof of the home.

Authorities confirmed firefighters conducted a fire attack by deploying a hose line and a ladder to access the roof in order to extinguish the fire.

MDFR said there were no reported injuries and also confirmed a dog was safely rescued from the fire and was reunited with its owners.

The Red Cross was requested to assist those impacted by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No other details were immediately released.
