Miami-Dade police identified the woman killed as 41-year-old Lusine Melikyan.

They said Melikyan’s 20-year-old son called 911 to report that Matthew Vincent Roll, 60, had shot him and his mother before turning the gun on himself.

Coral Gables Fire Department personnel pronounced Melikyan and Roll dead at the scene.

The victim’s son survived and was rushed to Jackson South Medical Center for lifesaving surgery.

Federal court records show that Melikyan and Roll had been having financial troubles in the months before the shooting.

The couple had jointly filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in U.S. District Court on Jan. 16; the case was closed on May 28, those records show.

Police said the shooting remained under investigation Friday.
