Homestead man accused of sharing child sex abuse videos; victims as young as 2

Jorge Quintana (MDCR)

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Miami-Dade police arrested a 25-year-old Homestead man Thursday after they said he used the messaging app Kik to share child sexual abuse videos.

According to an arrest report, last September, the app tipped investigators off that an account associated with Jorge Alexander Quintana had uploaded child sexual abuse material.

Police said a search warrant of Quintana’s Kik account revealed he uploaded and sent another user two videos of young girls being raped; one of the victims was as young as 2 years old.

The report states that on Thursday officers executed a search warrant at Quintana’s home on Northeast 13th Avenue, about a block away from Harris Field Park, and took him into custody.

Police redacted an alleged confession from the report.

Quintana is facing four felony charges related to the possession and promotion of child sexual abuse material.

He was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond as of late Friday morning.
