Police said Turner hit a squad car, then took off on Florida’s Turnpike, leading deputies on a chase that eventually ended with cops crashing into the van near Northwest 27th Avenue.

Authorities arrested Turner on charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding, grand theft auto, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving while license suspended — habitual traffic offender.

Turner was being held without bond in the BSO Main Jail as of Friday morning, according to online records.
