According to the suspectās arrest report, the victim told police that she and her family were dining inside the restaurant when they were approached by Precious Williams, who accused them of ātalking badlyā about her four young children.
The victim said she and her family told Williams they had not said anything bad about her children, but Williams refused to listen and lunged toward the teen, grabbing her hair and screaming at her.
According to the report, the teen then pulled Williamsā hair in an effort to get her to stop attacking her, and the victimās family and Williamsā husband eventually separated them.
Police said Williams claimed that one of her children, who range in age from 3 to 8, told her that someone at the victimās table called them a ān*****.ā
According to the report, Williams told police that she told her child to ignore it, but eventually confronted the teen and her family, attempting to find out what had been said.
She claimed the teen suddenly pushed her, at which time she grabbed her by the hair, starting a fight.
But police said the entire confrontation was captured on cellphone video and shows Williams standing over the teen as she was sitting down, screaming at her, before attacking the victim, seemingly unprovoked.
Another person was also struck in the head with a syrup bottle by an unknown person as the two groups were trying to separate the two, the report stated.
Police said two employees at the restaurant claimed Williams was initially upset because she believed someone at the victimās table had called her children ābad,ā although neither employee heard any comments being made about Williamsā children.
According to the report, the employees expressed concern for the four children, saying Williams did not check on her kids after the brawl.
Williams was ultimately arrested on one count of child abuse without great bodily harm and four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.
