According to Miami-Dade police, the home invasion was reported just before 3:45 a.m. Feb. 20 in the 700 block of Northwest 95th Street.

Police said they received an anonymous call from someone who reported that they heard multiple gunshots coming from inside the victim’s home.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, identified by neighbors as James Farrow, laying in a pool of blood. He had been shot several times.

According to Hibbert’s arrest report, prior to losing consciousness, the victim told officers he had been robbed.

He was then transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he remained in a coma for about three months.

According to the report, the victim was left paralyzed from the waist down and remains intubated.

During the investigation, detectives said they discovered the victim was home when one of the suspects, Jaden Fallon Davis, 26, who he knew, entered his apartment followed by Hibbert, who he did not know.

Police said the victim tried to close his front door, but Hibbert placed his gun in the door jam and then fired the gun as he forced his way inside.

Police said Davis told the victim she knew he had money inside his apartment and to give it up, so he wouldn’t be hurt.

According to the report, the victim denied having any money stashed in the house, so Davis and Hibbert ransacked the place while looking for money and valuables.

Police said Davis then went outside to an awaiting silver Infiniti where a third accomplice, Andre Lloyd Silvera, 42, was waiting with an unknown woman.

Police said Davis and the unknown woman went back into the home and tried to steal a moped from the living room, but they couldn’t find the keys and it was too heavy for them to push outside.

According to the report, Hibbert was still inside the victim’s bedroom at the time, demanding money and shooting at the victim.

Police said the victim pleaded for his life and told Hibbert to take his hats, shoes and clothing.

Instead, Hibbert took the victim’s gold chain-link bracelet from around his wrist and then continued to shoot the victim as the victim tried to crawl to the bathroom.

According to the report, the victim was shot eight times in the torso.

Davis and the unknown woman fled the scene in the getaway car, driven by Silvera, who drove to a nearby gas station where they met up with Hibbert, authorities said.

Police said Hibbert’s clothes were blood stained, indicating that he had gotten into a struggle with the victim.

According to the report, the thieves also took the victim’s bulldog, Chloe, who was later found abandoned on Interstate 95.

She was rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought to a Miami-Dade animal shelter.

Police said the victim’s gold bracelet was found in a pool of blood on the hallway floor, where it had been dropped as the suspects were fleeing the scene.

According to the report, it’s unclear what was taken from the apartment besides the dog.

Police confirmed that Davis provided a confession on May 23 as she was incarcerated for an unrelated crime.

Police said Silvera also provided a confession on May 27.

According to the report, an arrest warrant was obtained for Hibbert on May 28 as he was being held already for an unrelated case.

Police are still searching for the fourth person allegedly involved in the home invasion.

Anyone with information about her identity is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477. Tipsters with information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
