MIAMI – Miami police are investigating after gunshots were fired into a high-rise building over the weekend.
Three apartment units in downtown Miami were struck in all Sunday night.
Windows were boarded up Tuesday as the bullets shattered the glass.
One homeowner said she received a call from her children’s nanny after she heard the gunshots.
She said the children had been near the window just minutes earlier.
Luckily, no one was injured.
“I know that they were just in this space,” homeowner Vivian Olodun said. “I’m just so glad that they moved and weren’t traumatized by the noise and the danger they were actually in.”
Police told residents they believe the shots may have been fired from a neighboring high-rise.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Anyone with further information is asked to call the Miami Police Department or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
