Miami man charged with head-butting, biting pregnant girlfriend

MIAMI – Authorities arrested a Miami man on accusations he physically assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.

According to Miami police, they spoke with the victim who said an argument with her boyfriend, Yasniel Alberteris, led to him hitting and head-butting her in the face and forehead.

It occurred on Sunday at a home located along the 200 block of Northwest 67th Court in the city’s Flagami neighborhood.

The victim told officers that Alberteris, 29, also bit her multiple times on her arms and neck, leaving several bruises on her body, while telling her in Spanish, “The only reason I am not hitting you harder is because you are pregnant,” according to an arrest form.

She was taken to Kendall Baptist Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Officers responded to the home and arrested Alberteris without incident. He’s facing a felony charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant victim.
