HILLSBORO BEACH, Fla. – U.S. Border Patrol agents are investigating after they say five people from both Haiti and the Dominican Republic were apprehended following a migrant landing on Hillsboro Beach Sunday night.
According to USBP Chief Patrol Agent Samuel Briggs ll, USBP agents worked with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other law enforcement agencies to help detain the migrants.

Briggs did not release the identity or ages of the migrants who were detained.
He also did not say if the migrants came in on a homemade vessel or boat.
Briggs confirmed the investigation was still ongoing as of Monday afternoon.
