MIAM-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Earlier this year, a large crane collapsed in a northeast Miami-Dade County residential neighborhood, displacing residents and destroying property.
One of the people impacted was 76-year-old Carlos Perez.
His car was crushed when the crane collapsed back on Feb. 13.
Now Perez has no way of getting around, and he has been getting no answers.
“I have no car,” he said. “I called the company, I get no answers.”
His daughter, who lives in North Carolina, is also trying to help her dad.
Perez said he’s been in contact with the crane company and has not gotten any reimbursement.
Local 10 News could not reach the company but did reach the insurance adjuster representing the company.
They said they had no comment.
Now, months later, he has a daily reminder that he can’t get around.
