Reward offered for information about fatal shooting of man, 29, in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who police say fatally shot a 29-year-old man after an argument in Lauderhill.

According to the Lauderhill Police Department, Shondel Brathwaite was shot on Friday night at Lallo’s, an events venue along North State Road Seven, near Northwest 13 Street.

According to Sgt. Parys Thomas, a spokesman for the police department, Brathwaite was shot in the head shortly before 7:15 p.m., in a back area of the venue.

Lauderhill Fire Rescue personnel took Brathwaite to the Broward Health Medical Center where a doctor later pronounced him dead.

Authorities did not say what the alleged shooter or shooters and victim were arguing about before the incident occurred.

A motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
