Police said the officer was walking to the parking lot of an apartment building when he spotted Lamar Myshone Williams Jr. sitting in the front passenger seat of his patrol car with the passenger door open.

“The glove compartment was also open and ransacked,” the report stated.

According to the report, the officer held Williams at gunpoint before placing him into handcuffs.

North Miami police officers then responded to the scene and Williams was read his Miranda Rights.

Police said Williams claimed that the passenger door to the vehicle was already open.

When asked what he was doing inside the vehicle, he said, “Nothing, nothing. Nothing was taken,” according to the report.

Police said Williams denied ransacking the glove compartment.

He was arrested on a charge of burglary of an emergency vehicle.

Williams has since been released from jail after posting a $3,000 bond.
