NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Surveillance video shows a gas station where a man ran for help after he was shot in the neck on Friday night in Miami Beach. The crime scene also included the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant.
At 7:21 p.m., you can see the car racing into the gas station parking lot. A man can be seen exiting the car and then hopping on one foot into the gas station.
He then comes out of the gas station and sits down. Six minutes later, officers arrive.
According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, ShotSpotter tech detected 17 rounds fired and investigators recovered 31 bullet casings at Northeast 159th Street and 18th Avenue.
Fire rescue personnel helped the wounded man at the Marathon gas station, at 2201 NE 163rd St., and found a woman injured in the parking lot of McDonald’s, at 2201 NE 163rd St.
The woman, who police identified Monday as Junisha Niclasse, was also shot in the neck and was later declared dead in the hospital, according to NMBPD.
Authorities said no arrests have been made at this time.
