OFF POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – You do not have to scuba, snorkel or even get wet to see all kinds of South Florida sea life up close and personal.

Famed shipwreck diving photographer Jimmy Gadomski and his team just completed a very delicate mission off the coast of Pompano Beach.

Gadomski installed an underwater camera on a piling that holds up the Pompano Beach Fishing Pier.

This was no easy undertaking.

It took multiple dives and inventive engineering from the team to run power and then mount the bracket underneath the 900-foot-long pier.

Gadomski said it then took just a few hours for him to install the camera.

The Pompano Beach Underwater Pier cam is now live 24/7.
