CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A man was arrested after an argument over chicken from Wing Stop took a very violent turn.

That’s when Kevin Thompson, 20, told his mom that he needed to drive to another Wing Stop in Coral Springs.

When his mother asked why, Thompson reportedly said, “I want chicken. The chicken I gave you is stank.”

According to the report, the victim had already begun eating the spoiled chicken that Thompson had given her, and that led to an argument.

Police say Thompson then slammed on the brakes on his 2014 Chevy Impala and told his mother, “Let’s fight.”

The victim then got out of the car, and police say Thompson punched her in the face.

The victim said Thompson got back in the car, and attempted to run her over while she was standing on a sidewalk.

The victim said she ran to a grassy area in a nearby Publix parking lot and that Thompson tried to hit her again.

Coral Springs Police arrived on the scene and began questioning everyone involved.

Thompson was arrested and booked into the Broward County jail.

He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, domestic battery and driving with a suspended license without knowledge.
