Man fatally shot in Goulds neighborhood, police say

Police are investigating after they say a man was shot dead in Goulds Tuesday afternoon. (Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation)

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are investigating after they say a man was shot dead in a Goulds neighborhood in southwest Miami-Dade Tuesday afternoon.

According to Miami-Dade police, officers responded to a shooting call just before 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of West Old Cutler Road and Southwest 115th Avenue.

Upon their arrival, police said they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities said the man was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics to Jackson South Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Sky 10 flew over the scene just before 1:45 p.m. where first responders were seen speaking to residents next to a long trail of blood on a sidewalk in the area.

Police have not released any information on the victim’s age or identity and a motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
