HIALEAH, Fla. – The Red Lobster in Hialeah closed quietly Monday, as well as several other locations across the country.
It is just one location of at least 14 locations across the state of Florida and the country that showed up on the company’s website as temporarily closed on Monday.

The other restaurants in Orlando, Kissimmee and Jacksonville were also listed as closed. About 700 restaurants across the country also closed.
These changes come as the national seafood restaurant chain considered filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to ease financial pressure, according to a report in April.
The seafood restaurant chain is being advised by lawyers to consider the filing, to put a debt reduction plan into motion according to a report by Bloomberg.
The restaurant was founded more than 50 years ago by Bill Darden and Charley Woodsby.
Its parent company is currently the Thai Union Group.
