According to a probable cause affidavit, Ayala had been hired as both a personal assistant and nanny, and had worked for the family for about two years.

Fort Lauderdale police said the incident in question occurred sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 20, 2023.

According to the affidavit, the victim was in the kitchen getting ready for school when Ayala told him to come to her.

Police said the teen walked up to Ayala from behind and Ayala grabbed his hands and placed them on her bare breasts.

She then began to touch the victim’s genitals for about one minute before the teen’s mother walked in and witnessed what was happening, the affidavit stated.

According to the affidavit, the victim wasn’t interviewed by detectives about what occurred until Jan. 18.

Police said the teen’s mother also provided a sworn statement about what she witnessed that day and told police that she wished to prosecute.

As of Monday, Ayala was no longer appearing in the jail database.
