First up, Camp Little Critter is tailor-made for the youngest animal enthusiasts, ages 3 to 4, according to the zoo.

From June 17 to Aug. 2, children will explore the wonders of the zoo with expert camp staff members and engage in hands-on activities while making new friends while learning all about the amazing animals around them.

For kids ages 5 to 12, Zoo Miami’s summer camp “promises a wild experience” from June 7 to Aug. 14.

Attendees will dive into wildlife with animal encounters, meet zookeepers, play thrilling games and even whip up special treats with the zoo’s furry friends during their journey.

The zoo also said that each week in summer camp brings a new theme, from living fossils to animal adaptations, ensuring an unforgettable summer of learning and fun.

Teens ages 13 to 15 can join the zoo’s Teen Careers Camp from June 10 to July 26. They’ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at zoo careers, from zookeepers to animal chefs, and discover their passion in the wild world of wildlife.

“Every day at Zoo summer camp is a new adventure. We invite kids of all ages to spend the summer exploring and learning about the flora and fauna that surround us at Zoo Miami and in our backyards,” said Daniele Notarnicola, a camp manager at Zoo Miami.

“All camps take place at Zoo Miami, with free extended care available until 5:30 P.M. for elementary school children and teens,” a news release stated.
