Miami-Dade police said they were dispatched just before 1 a.m. on Jan. 6 near the 6700 block of Northwest 26th Avenue in reference to a shooting call.

Upon arrival, officers said they found 25-year-old Isaac Patrick Hepburn and 30-year-old Johneisha Kelveisha Mabry, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Local 10 News obtained exclusive Ring camera video of Hepburn yelling, “Help! Call the ambulance! They shot me and my girl,” just moments before police arrived at the scene.

Hepburn told police he got into a previous argument with two men at the apartment, which led to one of those men, who detectives later identified as Williams, pulling a gun out and shooting Hepburn and his girlfriend, an arrest report stated.

An arrest report states Hepburn suffered gunshot wounds to his left hip and left arm and Mabry suffered gunshot wounds to her back and right arm.

Authorities said both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where they were treated for their injuries.

Police said after the shooting occurred, they were later dispatched to the hospital to conduct an audio-recorded interview with Hepburn.

Hepburn told detectives that he got into an argument with another man prior to the incident over “property,” the report stated.

According to investigators, while Hepburn was with Mabry at the abandoned apartment complex, Williams and another individual confronted them.

Police said Williams forcibly removed a gold chain from Hepburn’s neck and the other individual instructed Williams to shoot the victims.

Detectives said Williams fired multiple shots, injuring both victims before fleeing the scene with his accomplice.

Mabry informed detectives on Jan. 11 that she was acquainted with Williams and his accomplice from her neighborhood.

Detectives said an anonymous tip they received on March 23 helped them identify Williams as the suspect.

Court records show that Williams was incarcerated following another crime that police say occurred in Miami-Dade County.

After reading Williams his Miranda rights, detectives say he made a confession to detectives, however it was fully redacted in his arrest report.

Authorities also verified Williams’ status as a convicted felon after he was previously charged with robbery with a deadly weapon in a separate case.

Jail records show Williams is being held at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center, as of Tuesday.

Police have not announced any additional arrests in the case and a motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
