HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A man suspected of committing multiple burglaries in Hollywood was arrested early Wednesday morning after he barricaded himself inside of a home, authorities said.
According to Hollywood police, officers were called out to the area of Washington Street and 52nd Avenue just after 3 a.m. regarding a suspicious person.

Police said the suspect, identified as Justin Swain, 39, fled from responding officers before barricading himself inside a home off Hillcrest Court.
“The suspect is a known felon with an extensive criminal history and is suspected to have committed multiple burglaries in the vicinity,” Hollywood police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi told Local 10 News in an email. “The SWAT team and hostage negotiators were called out. SWAT made entry into the room and took the suspect into custody.”
No other details were immediately released.
