POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A Broward County man was arrested Monday after he struck a woman in the face with a brick for littering, authorities said.
The incident occurred Aug. 25, 2023, in the parking lot of a building located at 190 NE 12th Ave. in Pompano Beach, but Chaddie Maurice Harrison, 42, was arrested Monday on a warrant for the incident.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Harrison, who is an acquaintance of the victim, became “irate” after he saw that she had discarded a soda can in the parking lot instead of placing it in a trashcan.
Deputies said Harrison opened the door of the victim’s black Jeep, breaking the threshold of the door, and struck the victim multiple times in the face with a brick.
According to the affidavit, the victim suffered possible permanent disfigurement from the attack, which left her with “several lacerations and hematomas to the forehead, eyes, nose and cheeks.
The victim was transported to Broward Health Imperial Point to be treated for her injuries.
Harrison is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and burglary with assault or battery.
As of Tuesday morning, he was being held at the Broward County Main Jail where his bond had yet to be set.
