MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā Miami-Dade Public Schools is earning top marks when it comes to the best high schools across the country and in the state of Florida.
According to U.S. News & World Reportās annual list of the nationās best schools, Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) earned three spots for top 100 high schools in the nation.

The schools on the list include:
-61 Marine Academy of Science & Technology Florida International University (MAST@FIU)
-63 Jose Marti Mast 6-12 Academy
-73 Design & Architecture Senior High School (DASH)
The district also led for high-ranking schools in the state for 2024.
Overall M-DCPS had 94 traditional and magnet schools on the list and 16 of those schools ranked among Floridaās top 100.

The rankings are based on 25,000 magnet and charter high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The magazine evaluated all the schools using a six-step analysis including Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) tests, school performance, math and reading proficiency, graduation rates and achievement gap.
