OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney back in Miami courtroom for hearing on laptop tied to murder case

MIAMICourtney Clenney, the OnlyFans model accused of murdering her boyfriend at their Edgewater high-rise in 2022, was back in a Miami courtroom as prosecutors looked to prove that Clenney and her parents didn’t have permission to access a laptop found at the murder scene.

Clenney, along with her parents, are facing computer crime charges in the case. Prosecutors say they illegally accessed a laptop belonging to Christian Obumseli, Clenney’s boyfriend and the victim in the case.

Defense attorneys are looking to poke holes in prosecutors’ theory, saying that it may have been a shared device.

Clenney, also charged with second-degree murder, appeared in court for a status hearing Tuesday wearing a red jumpsuit.

Miami-Dade police Detective Andrew Perez, who works in the department’s cyber crimes section, was questioned about his work on the case.

According to a warrant, Clenney and her parents discussed potential passwords to hack into the laptop using as many as a dozen potential passwords.

Perez says in the discussions investigators reviewed, there were no discussions between the Clenneys and their legal team about erasing evidence or altering evidence regarding the laptop.

Perez says the laptop was accessed sometime in July, and detectives did not find any indication the laptop belonged to Clenney.

The detective also says they have no evidence that Obumseli never prohibited Clenney from using the laptop.

Prosecutors will have to prove that the laptop was illegally accessed by Clenney and her parents if the case goes to trial.

A trial date has yet to be set in Clenney’s murder case.

The detective added the investigation was ongoing and forensics were being done on the device.

The judge had yet to make a ruling in the computer crimes hearing Tuesday evening.
