LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – Several Broward County high school students were treated by paramedics on campus Friday after a pepper spray incident at their school, a spokeswoman for the school district confirmed.
According to the spokeswoman, a fight broke out between students at Boyd H. Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, leading one student to deploy pepper spray.

She said while several students were treated at the scene for exposure to pepper spray, no one was seriously injured.
“According to school administrators, the situation is under control and classes are operating on their regular schedule,” a statement from the school district read in part. “School administrators are working with law enforcement to investigate the cause of the fight and identify those involved with both the altercation and the use of pepper spray.”
Sky 10 flew over the scene just before 2 p.m. where two people were being detained by police officers at the school.
No other details were immediately released.
