COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Authorities said a woman’s morning commute turned scary in Coconut Creek Wednesday when a 25-year-old mother — with her 6-year-old daughter sitting next to her and another child on the way — brandished a gun after the woman honked at her.
According to the Coconut Creek Police Department, the incident happened just after 8 a.m. in the area of Banks Road and Coconut Creek Parkway.

An arrest report states that the victim told officers that as traffic came to a bottleneck, the driver of a Toyota Corolla, later identified as Tabresha Renese Jackson, cut her off, prompting the victim to honk her horn to get her attention.
Police said this enraged Jackson, who began “yelling and screaming out her window.”
The report states that the victim saw Jackson, of Miramar, rummage through what looked like a bag in the back seat, pull out a gun and point it at her.
The woman, in fear for her life, ducked down, but police said she saw a “small-bodied individual” in the front passenger’s seat that police would later determine was Jackson’s young daughter.
Police said the woman took down Jackson’s tag and called 911 and police were able to track her down to the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Lyons Road.
Jackson claimed she had no choice but to cut the driver off and she admitted to having a gun in the car, police said.
The report states that cops would later locate the Glock 43 pistol within “easy reach” of Jackson’s 6-year-old daughter.
Police then took Jackson into custody, the report states.
Authorities said before officers took her to jail, they took Jackson to a nearby hospital for medical clearance after she told them she was pregnant.
Jackson is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and child neglect without great bodily harm.
Officers also cited her for driving without a licensed passenger over 21 while having only a learner’s permit, as well as having excess windshield tint.
Jackson remained in the Broward Main Jail on a $20,000 bond as of Thursday evening.
