DORAL, Fla. – Martini Bar Doral, located within the CityPlace complex, reopened its doors Thursday to help the family of a fallen security guard.
George Castellanos, 23, was killed in a mass shooting at the nightclub in early April.
Thursday, Martini Bar hosted an event it calld “a night to support the Castellanos family.”
The father of one was killed, along with the 37-year-old gunman, and seven others were hurt during the April 6 shooting.
Police said the situation erupted after the gunman got into an altercation with another customer.
Revenue from the fundraiser will go to aid Castellanos’ 1-year-old daughter.
Martini Bar Doral also set up a fundraising page for those who couldn’t come to the event in person.
