Deputies respond to Port Everglades after cruise line employee vanished at sea

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Deputies responded to Port Everglades on Saturday to investigate how a Holland America Line employee vanished at sea.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the unidentified man was last seen on Friday evening aboard a cruise ship owned by the Carnival Corporation subsidiary.

Deputies were at the port’s Cruise Terminal 26 near Eller Drive in Fort Lauderdale. Port records showed the MS Rotterdam was at the terminal.

Deputies asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
