SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. – A Miami woman is facing several charges after police said she operated an unlicensed post-operative recovery home catering to cosmetic surgery patients.

Miami-Dade police said Daaiyah Alneesha Roundtree, 43, of Midtown, ran “MLC Post Op” out of the home, located at 6620 SW 63rd Court in South Miami. Additionally, state business records show her as an authorized person for an inactive company called “My Little Concierge Service LLC.”

Police said someone tipped them off that Roundtree was running the unlicensed facility and obtained a search warrant. After going to the house Tuesday, they said officers found seven post-op patients and one pre-op patient at the residence.

According to an arrest report, patients paid Roundtree $250 to $350 per night, paid in cash or via Cash App, to stay in the home and receive care. Authorities said she also paid an employee in cash.

Roundtree, police said, is not licensed to run an assisted living facility in Florida.

Police continue to crack down on unlicensed post-op homes. Local 10 News has interviewed women who have described unsanitary conditions at homes they stayed in after recovering from cosmetic surgeries.

Arrest reports don’t state what conditions inside the South Miami home were like, but police said Roundtree was “illegally dumping human medical waste of a hazardous and biologically dangerous nature,” placing soiled medical waste in a regular trash bin rather than in a biohazard container, “creating a credible and actual biological hazard to the well-being and health of the public.”

Roundtree is facing felony charges of operating an assisted living facility without a license, felony littering and hazardous waste violations, plus misdemeanor charges of nuisances injurious to health and failing to track biomedical waste.

Jail records show she was scheduled to be released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond Wednesday.
