MIAMI – A 34-year-old man stands accused of attacking his 91-year-old father in Miami-Dade County.
Adam Jose Gonzalez appeared before Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Daryl E. Trawick after his arrest on Friday for domestic violence in Allapattah.

Gonzalez allegedly asked his father for help and when his father told him he didn’t have any he “choked” him from behind and stole his cell phone and wallet, according to the arrest report.
The wallet also had about $170 in cash, bank cards, and a bus pass, according to police. The attack was at about 9 a.m., in the area of Northwest 22 Street and 19 Avenue.
County records show correctional officers booked Gonzalez shortly before 8 p.m., at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he remained on Saturday afternoon.
Gonzalez was facing charges of strongarm robbery, battery of an elderly person, and battery domestic strangulation.
