MIAMI – A federal judge sentenced a 43-year-old Florida man to 14 months in prison for calling the U.S. Supreme Court and leaving a voicemail threatening to kill Chief Justice John Roberts.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales sentenced Neal Brij Sidhwaney to 14 months in prison on Monday in Jacksonville.

Sidhwaney, of Fernandina Beach, pleaded guilty to a charge of transmitting an interstate threat to kill in December. The former programmer was diagnosed with a delusional disorder.
Federal agents arrested Sidhwaney in July in Nassau County after he left a voicemail saying, “I will [expletive] kill you” in August, according to federal prosecutors.
