Baby dies after being found unresponsive inside Tamarac home

TAMARAC, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they said a baby died Tuesday morning after being found unresponsive inside a home in Tamarac.

According to BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, the agency received a “medical call” shortly after 7:30 a.m. regarding the baby who was inside a home in the 9500 block of Northwest 74th Court.

Grossman said deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue personnel responded and found that the baby was unresponsive.

The baby was then transported to a hospital, where he or she was pronounced dead.

Grossman said BSO homicide detectives were notified and are investigating.

She said the cause and manner of death will be determined by the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office.

No other details were immediately released.
