Tennessee stripper accused of stabbing co-worker ‘10 to 15 times’ in Miami Beach hotel room

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Tennessee stripper Tequila Campbell could be spending a long time behind bars after police say she stabbed her co-worker multiple times at a hotel in Miami Beach on Tuesday.

Miami Beach police received a 911 call from the victim just after 8:15 p.m. who reported that she had been stabbed multiple times inside a room at The Attic, located at 841 Collins Ave. on South Beach.

Authorities said police and Miami Beach Fire Rescue attended to the victim, who they said suffered from approximately “ten to fifteen stab wounds” throughout her body and a collapsed lung.

The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.

She told detectives at the hospital that when she arrived at her room, she found Campbell, 27, waiting inside, although nobody else was supposed to be using the room under her name, according to an arrest report.

The victim and Campbell, who are both strippers from Memphis and former close friends, initially argued about Campbell staying in the room, the report stated.

Police said Campbell claimed the victim “owed her,” referring to an incident in Tennessee where Campbell accused the victim of theft.

The victim stated shortly after, Campbell attacked her and she was initially unaware she was being stabbed until she saw her own blood, police said.

“Somebody c’mon before I kill this b----,” the report states Campbell said during the attack.

The weapon was stuck in the victim’s shoulder and had to be dislodged at the hospital, the report states.

Police said the victim provided detectives with information about Campbell, including a photograph.

Miami Beach police said they arrested Campbell after locating her vehicle in the 2700 block of Alton Road in Miami Beach around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

After being read her Miranda Rights, Campbell stated she had previously been with the victim and both agreed to share the victim’s hotel room.

Police said hotel management had issued Campbell a key to the room as she had stayed at the hotel numerous times before.

Campbell claimed to have fallen asleep and was awakened by the victim throwing a lamp or nightstand table at her head, according to the report.

Police said Campbell responded by grabbing what she believed to be a comb or hair accessory and swung her arms at the victim but denied that she stabbed her and admitted to leaving the scene after the altercation.

According to jail records, Campbell is facing one count of second-degree attempted murder.

As of Thursday, she is being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
