LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last year in Lauderdale Lakes, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Detectives are searching for one other suspect in the case – the person who actually pulled the trigger.

According to BSO spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, an arrest warrant was issued for Freddie Miller, of Hollywood, on March 13 and he was located in Tampa on March 18.

He faces one count of second-degree murder with a firearm and resisting an officer without violence.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the 4100 block of Northwest 30th Terrace.

Grossman said deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics transported the victim, identified as Jacob Pablo, 26, of Lauderhill, to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died.

“Based on interviews, evidence collected on scene and search warrants, detectives believe a physical fight occurred between Pablo and Miller,” Grossman said in a news release. “At some point during the altercation, Pablo stabbed Miller. Miller exited the apartment and went to his car to retrieve a firearm and gave it to a second subject who shot Pablo. Miller and the second subject then fled the area.”

The identity of the gunman is not known.
