Police respond to reports of shooting in northwest Miami-Dade. (WPLG)

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police responded to reports of shots being fired in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin told Local 10 News that officers responded to a ShotSpotter Alert near the 2300 block of Northwest 68th Street.

Upon arrival, police located a vehicle that was hit several times by gunfire and collided with a pole. The driver of the vehicle was located inside the vehicle without any injuries, according to Martin.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene where police roped off a large perimeter and were speaking to people in the area.

Authorities did not announce any arrests and a motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
