MIAMI – After a 16-year-old girl ran away from home, a man told her she was in a dangerous neighborhood and offered her shelter. That is where she told police officers she was gang raped.

A detective met the teenage girl at the Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center at about 11:10 a.m., on Friday. She reported she had never met the rapists before.

She argued with her mother and left her home on Thursday evening. A man approached her while walking at about midnight near Northwest 17 Avenue and 43 Street, according to police.

She followed the man to a house where two of the attackers offered her marijuana, molly, tobacco, and a Crush soda before the rapes. She said she escaped when someone knocked on the door.

The teenage girl told her boyfriend what happened and he called police officers, according to a police report. The girl showed officers where the house was near the intersection of Northwest 18 Avenue and 43 Street.

The SWAT team responded. Police officers found the alleged rapists and two women inside the home who said they later learned the three suspects had a teenage girl in the house.

Officers arrested Livingstone Martin Jr., and Robert DeArmas, both 35-year-old convicted felons.

Martin is a felon who was convicted of a 2005 second-degree murder in Miami-Dade County. The Florida Department of Corrections released him from prison in 2021.

DeArmas is a felon who was convicted of a 2007 grand theft of a motor vehicle in Miami-Dade. The FDOC released him from prison in 2009.

Martin and DeArmas are both facing charges of first-degree sexual battery, contributing to the delinquency of a child, and interference with custody.
