Woman with long arrest record appears in Miami-Dade court

Jasmine Agnes Wicevic has a long arrest record that goes back to over a decade. In Florida, she has been arrested in Miami-Dade and Hernando counties. In South Carolina, she has been arrested in Charleston County. (Miami-Dade, Hernando and Charleston counties)

MIAMI – Jasmine Agnes Wicevic was wearing an orange jumpsuit when she made a gesture of supplication while in handcuffs before Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Anne Stuzin on Saturday.

Wicevic, 32, stood next to a public defender who reported she doesn’t have any prior convictions and has only one arrest in Miami-Dade. Her second Miami-Dade arrest was on Friday.

Records show Miami-Dade correctional officers booked Wicevic on Friday night on charges of possession of a controlled substance and resisting an officer without violence.

Aside from her arrest for battery on New Year’s Eve in 2022 in Miami-Dade, Wicevic also has an arrest record in Florida’s Hernando County and South Carolina’s Charleston County.

Wicevic’s record in Hernando County includes an arrest for a probation violation when she was 20 years old followed by an arrest for assaulting a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia when she was 21.

Wicevic had two shoplifting cases when she was 22 in Hernando and Charleston counties. Wicevic’s record in Charleston County also includes an arrest for crack possession when she was 24 and three arrests for public intoxication when she was 24, 25, and 26.

In Miami-Dade court, Stuzin ordered pre-trial services with alternate bonds for Wicevic on the new charges.

Miami-Dade correctional officers held Wicevic at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Saturday afternoon.

Records show Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Lody Jean is set to preside over the new case.
