Boy, 10, injured in Pompano Beach shooting, deputies investigating

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County are investigating after they said a 10-year-old boy was injured in a shooting.

It happened on Thursday at approximately 6:35 p.m. near the 1700 block of Northwest Fourth Street in Pompano Beach.

According to deputies, after arriving at the scene they found a boy who had been shot.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue rushed the victim to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
