MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Miami Gardens Tuesday evening, authorities confirmed Wednesday.
Miami Gardens police said officers responded to the shooting call just before 7 p.m. near the 1900 block of Northwest 167th Street.
Investigators said upon arrival, they located a man inside a white BMW with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim driver and a male passenger were traveling eastbound on Northwest 167th Street when several shots were fired and struck the driver, according to police.
Authorities said the subjects involved fled the scene following the incident.
Police have not released any information on the victim or suspects involved in the shooting.
