Victim dies after Bentley riddled with bullet holes following Miramar drive-by

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that they say left a male victim dead in Miramar Tuesday morning.

Miramar police said officers were dispatched to a drive-by shooting call just after 11:45 a.m. near the 3200 block of Southwest 66th Way.

Authorities confirmed a male victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.

Sky 10 flew over the scene around 12:10 p.m. where a Bentley coupe was riddled with bullet holes and SWAT officers were canvassing the area.

Tania Ordaz, a spokesperson with the Miramar Police Department, told Local 10 News that six people were inside the home near where the Bentley was parked and the shooting occurred.

Ordaz confirmed two of the six people were uncooperative when police arrived but eventually came out of the home and were detained.

“This was very brazen,” said Ordaz. “We’re looking for at least one person, could be more.”

Police said they do not believe the victim, who was only described as a young adult, lived at the home, but do think he knew several people who lived there.

It remains unclear if the victim was the intended target of the shooting.

A motive for the shooting or any additional information on the age or identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

Police are urging anyone who has information on the case to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
