MARATHON, Fla. – An 18-year-old high school student was arrested Friday in the Florida Keys after he threatened a teacher, authorities confirmed Saturday.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt, Bruce Allan Gee, who is a student at Marathon High School, threatened to physically harm a teacher on Thursday.

Linhardt said there were multiple people who witnessed him threatening the teacher, as well as security footage of the incident.
He was taken into custody the next day on charges of simple assault and disturbing the peace.
Further details about the alleged threat and what led up to it were not immediately released.
