MIAMI – Two people were robbed of their expensive jewelry Wednesday night while they were inside a restaurant in Miami near Midtown, authorities confirmed.
Officer Michael Vega, who is also a spokesman for the police department, confirmed that the robbery was reported shortly after 9 p.m. at 3525 NE Second Ave.

According to Vega, two victims told police that they were robbed at gunpoint by three men.
More than $50,000 worth of jewelry was taken, he said.
No injuries were reported.
