Miami police officers responded to a domestic disturbance in emergency mode just after 6:30 p.m. Monday at a home near the 1400 block of Northwest 44th Street, in the Liberty City neighborhood.

Gordon, who police identified as the victim’s mother and residing in the same household, confronted officers at the front door while loudly demanding, “I want my daughter out of the house!” according to her arrest report.

As Miami police remained with Gordon on the front porch of the home additional officers responded to the back room where they found the victim physically crying on her knees while holding her head on a mattress and unable to properly communicate due to pain at the back of her head, the report stated.

Police said the victim reported being hit with a glass container. Medics took the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

After questioning Gordon about the incident, she said an argument ensued between her and her daughter’s failure to clean her room.

Gordon claimed she instructed the victim to clean up and, when the victim threw a griddle on the ground, she instructed the victim’s younger siblings to gather the victim’s belongings in a garbage bag.

Gordon that the victim then went to her room and began destroying property, leading to a fight between them, according to police.

Gordon told police she was holding two glass containers when the victim entered the room with her head down, and one of the containers “somehow fell on the victim’s head,” according to her arrest report.

Police said several children were present in the room during the altercation. The oldest female child reported that Gordon struck the victim on the back of the head with a medium glass vase, causing it to break.

Gordon was taken into custody without further incident.

Gordon’s husband, Kemar Porter, stated there was glass scattered throughout the area, prompting him to clean up the mess, investigators said.

Gordon’s arrest report states that she is six months pregnant and claimed this is the first time she and the victim have been involved in a physical altercation.

As of Tuesday, she is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where her bond has not been determined.

Despite the assertion in the arrest report that lists Porter as Gordon’s husband, the victim contacted Local 10 News on Wednesday, claiming that he is Gordon’s boyfriend.

Additionally, the victim alleged that Gordon struck her with a glass container not because she failed to clean her room, as stated in the report, but because she did not clean the griddle.
