Sky 10 was above a construction site in the area of Southwest 192nd Avenue and 344th Street in Florida City shortly after 10 a.m. Monday after the teen was taken into custody.

According to Miami-Dade police, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white van in the area of Southwest 207th Avenue and 344th Street, but the driver fled from the officer.

After a chase that also involved the police department’s Aviation Unit, police said the driver bailed out of the vehicle and tried to jump a fence but was unsuccessful.

Police did not say why Guttierez fled from officers or why he would not be facing criminal charges.
