MIAMI – A 49-year-old man appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Saturday after spending the night at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

With the help of a translator, Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mindy S. Glazer told Juan Pablo Lopez that the police officers who had arrested him accused him of cocaine trafficking.

Police officers also accused Lopez of driving even though his Florida driver’s license had been permanently revoked and of carrying drug paraphernalia.

Correctional officers booked Lopez at about 10:40 p.m., on Friday, at TGKCC, and he remained there on Saturday afternoon, according to inmate records.

Glazer, who did not mention how much cocaine police thought Lopez was carrying, set his bond at $9,500.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
