Deputies: 3 teens were in Cape Coral stolen car during Broward chase

Deputies arrest 3 suspects ages 15, 16, and 17

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A teenage boy was speeding in a silver Hyundai Elantra that was stolen in Cape Coral during a police chase on Friday in Broward County, deputies said on Saturday morning.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies reported arresting Adrian J. Ruiz — who celebrated his 17th birthday on Feb. 7 — and his two passengers: Kimberly Iraheta, who just turned 15 years old on Jan. 29, and 16-year-old Melanie Ramos.

The police pursuit involving BSO deputies and Hollywood police officers ended near the intersection of Southwest 38 Avenue and 25 Street in West Park, according to police scanner traffic.

Adrian was on probation for a similar case. He is facing charges of grand theft auto, reckless driving, and fleeing and eluding with disregard for public safety.

The teenage girls were facing charges of grand theft auto, according to BSO deputies.
