MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was hospitalized Tuesday night after she was shot while sitting inside a vehicle outside a home in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to Miami-Dade police, the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Northwest 77th Street.

Detective Alvaro Zabaleta, who is also a spokesman for the police department, said officers arrived at the scene to find a woman who had been shot in the lower extremity.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported her to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.
“Preliminary information reveals that several subject(s) approached the victim, opened fire and fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction,” Zabaleta said in an email to Local 10 News.
No other details were immediately released.
